Golin has won a competitive pitch to provide PR services to Dimension Data, an $8bn global technology integrator and managed services provider. Golin will be Dimension Data’s global lead agency, based out of London, as well as providing UK & Ireland press office and campaign support.
Julie Moon, Senior Director, Corporate Communications at Dimension Data, said: “We were blown away by the energy, enthusiasm and thought Golin had put into their pitch. Golin’s impressive technology experience will be vital in helping us reach our core business audiences but we also saw the passion and creative flair we were looking for to help take our storytelling to the next level around key projects, such as our technology partnership with the Tour de France and our Connected Conservation work in Africa.”
Golin London was already Dimension Data’s social media agency, having picked up that work in 2017.
Executive Director Will Sturgeon, who led Golin’s pitch and will head up the agency’s Dimension Data team, said: “Dimension Data has great stories to tell. From helping organisations plot their way through digital transformation, to digitizing the fan experience of the Tour de France and the incredible ways it is using technology to combat poaching in Africa. We are really excited to have the opportunity to help Dimension Data tell these stories in a more integrated way, building upon the social media work we have been doing over the past 12 months.”
An immediate priority for the agency will be to help Dimension Data tell the story of how technology is revolutionizing the viewing experience of the Tour de France. Since 2015, Dimension Data has been the official technology partner to Amaury Sport Organisation (ASO), the organiser of the Tour de France.
