Golin tackles fraud prevention for Cifas with PR brief

Winning a competitive 4-way pitch to deliver a 16-month programme, Golin have recently been appointed to provide retained PR services to Cifas, the UK’s leading fraud prevention service.

Golin will help Cifas shift the dial on fraud in the UK, through a creative media and thought leadership programme to build awareness and understanding of instances of fraud.

“We were enormously impressed by the strength of Golin’s pitch. We were looking for a brave, intuitive and creative partner to help build upon the success of our award-winning campaign work and to integrate with our communication’s team. Golin were able demonstrate a perfect blend of creativity and strategic thinking to deliver an approach that will really challenge Cifas to see opportunities to engage a wider audience. We look forward to making a step change in our external communications to coincide with our 30th year,” said Sarah Samee, Head of Communications, Cifas.

“We were fascinated by Cifas’ brief from the very start and we can’t wait to help them tell their story. They occupy a unique position in helping all, from the biggest banks to the ordinary consumer, to understand how they can fall victim to but also inadvertently perpetrate fraud. It’s a brilliant territory to explore from a creative standpoint – but also a hugely worthwhile challenge, which we’re delighted to have been tasked with,” said Emily Luscombe, Golin deputy managing director.

Golin’s work for Cifas will start immediately.
