Matthew is the President of Global Technology Practice – a role dedicated to growing and expanding the firm’s technology sector offering. He is responsible for building and overseeing a global team dedicated to delivering brilliant work for clients across a wide range of industries; from consumer electronics and ecommerce to cloud computing and robotics. As part of this role, Matthew also heads the growing San Francisco office as Managing Director – where he leads the charge for Golin in the Bay Area – as well as Golin’s primary strategic digital design and development team within North America.
With over twenty years of communications experience, Matthew has helped build and manage the reputations of some of the world’s biggest brands as well develop strategies for start-ups aiming to make their mark on business and society. During his tenure in communications, Matthew has worked across the globe holding positions in Singapore, Shanghai, London and San Francisco.
Prior to joining Golin, Matthew was the Executive Vice President for Waggener Edstrom Asia Pacific – overseeing the agencies nine offices in the region as well as the company’s network of affiliates. In 2014, PR Week named Matthew Asia-Pacific Agency Head of the Year for his accomplishments. He is widely recognized for his close relationships with clients and openness as a leader.

Once, when Matthew and his wife were camping in Zimbabwe, their truck got stuck in hot sand. They had to sit in the car all day – while lions watched nearby – until the sand cooled down enough for them to make their escape. They remain married to this day.
