Hong Kong, 28 September 2022: Today, Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) agency Golin has announced the appointment of Carol Yeung as Managing Director, Hong Kong, as successor to Jane Morgan who will leave the firm after six years.
Deciding to leave Golin to relocate with her family, Jane has transformed the agency into one recognised as an industry leader. She departs having established Golin’s client leadership programme in APAC, spearheading the regional DEI Committee as well as leading Golin Hong Kong to be awarded for its diverse workplace by PR Awards Asia and Campaign Asia’s Women Leading Change Awards in 2022 alone.
Formerly Vice President, Carol Yeung has been promoted to Managing Director, Golin Hong Kong. She has been formally recognised by Campaign Asia as one of their Women to Watch in 2021, and in 2022 was chosen to be among IPG’s 100 women globally for the Meta-supported ‘Pass Her The Mic’ public speaker initiative. Carol will continue in her capacity as Hong Kong’s Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Lead.
Of her promotion Yeung says, “I am so excited to lead our team to further create change that matters – through our work, for our people and the industry itself. I have been living and breathing Golin’s unique culture, pioneering spirit and passion across the past four years and see immense opportunity here in Hong Kong. I am looking forward to delivering more insight and purpose-driven work for our clients both here and across the region”.
Yeung will report into Golin’s APAC President Darren Burns. “Jane has been transformative for Golin, and I thank her for everything she has done for us, including mentoring Carol for this role,” said Burns. “Carol brings with her a new era of leadership in Asia; her challenger spirit and unequivocal business intelligence has earned her a reputation of excellence. She has shown herself to be a changemaker and an inspiration to her team – I can’t wait to see what’s next”.
