In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Qatar Airways showed its continued commitment to customers and society at large by announcing its ‘Green Channel’ initiative for complimentary air transportation, making itself the first international airline to volunteer emergency relief flight delivery. Using the rapid-response capabilities of its air freighter division, Qatar Airways provided free transportation of medical supplies donated by Chinese communities worldwide. Working with the Chinese government, Qatar Airways coordinated larger shipments of critical medical aid provisions solicited by Chinese Embassies and Consulates from around the world. In addition to over 1.2K news reports and 2M social views, Qatar Airways’ Global Green Channel has transported over 600 tons of medical supplies to China and their PRC Embassies, with more supplies on the way.
