Golin was challenged to help The Estée Lauder Companies UK & Ireland with their 2020 Breast Cancer Campaign and reprioritize breast health amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. The team came up with ‘Time to Unite’, a live virtual self-check event (cameras off!) to bring people together with a renewed sense of unity and encourage everyone to be breast aware.
They got the word out through influencers and earned media, highlighting research which showed Coronavirus had led to breast health being de-prioritized. The event was hosted by Alesha Dixon and featured moving stories from breast cancer survivors and inspiring panelists, including Elizabeth Hurley and ‘self-check demonstrator’ Dr Zoe Williams. 3,471 people joined the event live, and it is believed to be the largest self-examination breast check moment in the UK.
