Golin London has today appointed Ondine Whittington as Group Managing Director of Golin and Virgo Health. Ondine will start her role with immediate effect, reporting into CEO Matt Neale.
In her previous role as Managing Director of Virgo Health, Ondine led the 50-strong healthcare communications agency Golin acquired in 2014. During her tenure, Virgo had one of the most successful years of growth in its history, built a highly specialist global healthcare hub of excellence in London and navigated the path from founder-led business into successful network agency, relocating into a co-shared office space in Central London with Golin.
“Ondine brings unparalleled agency leadership to Golin London. We went out to the market to find the right hire for this critical role, but soon realised that the perfect candidate was already in our family. During her time at Virgo Health, Ondine has demonstrated an incredible ability to drive growth, build client relationships, collaborate and assemble integrated teams. Most importantly, she knows how to build and motivate high-performing teams balanced with a truly inclusive and supportive working culture,” said Golin CEO Matt Neale.
“In a world of increasing reputational scrutiny, where consumers are more educated and informed than ever before, brands need to show up smarter, stand for certain values and earn the right to be relevant and recognised. Golin’s unique G4 model, fused with specialist talent across health, corporate purpose, technology and deep consumer expertise puts us at the forefront of our industry and able to offer clients a more progressive, intelligent approach to PR that earns brands attention, respect and fame.”
“Whilst both the Virgo and Golin brands will remain distinct entities, the new Group MD role will allow me to unlock the collective strength of our exciting proposition and brilliant people; whilst creating efficiencies and value for clients,” said Ondine Whittington, Group Managing Director Golin and Virgo Health.
