Patti Temple Rocks and Ginger Porter Take on New Roles and Join Golin’s Executive Board

CHICAGO – JAN 18, 2017 – Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) agency Golin announced several important leadership changes today focused on the Midwest region in the agency’s Chicago and Dallas offices. Patti Temple Rocks, Managing Director (MD) of Chicago, will assume new responsibilities as Golin’s first Client Innovation Officer. Ginger Porter, MD of Dallas, will become President, Midwest Region, with oversight of Golin’s Chicago and Dallas operations. Both Temple Rocks and Porter will sit in Golin’s Chicago office, will report to Gary Rudnick, CEO+ Operations and will join the agency’s Executive Board. Alex Tan, Executive Director, will be elevated to Associate MD, Dallas, working closely with Porter to maintain and build upon Golin’s momentum and success there. And Executive Director Carrie von der Sitt will expand on her leadership responsibilities in Chicago to help define and grow Golin’s Food & Beverage business and capabilities in the U.S. All of these changes will officially go into effect on April 1, 2017.

“One of the things that makes Golin great is our desire and commitment to provide our best and brightest with new and exciting opportunities,” said Gary Rudnick, CEO+ Operations. “This often includes creating positions that may not currently exist in order to better reflect the desired career path, talent, potential and aspirations of those individuals. Those factors – along with meeting and exceeding our business needs – are driving forces behind these leadership changes.”

In Temple Rocks’ new role, she will move onto the agency’s corporate team and will be responsible for identifying and leveraging existing innovative offerings and bringing them to clients throughout Golin’s global network. “As Golin’s innovation champion, I have the exciting charge to make Golin known for its innovative practices,” said Temple Rocks.

“As a former client myself, I know that clients expect their agency partners to bring them new ways of thinking based on the agency’s experience across multiple clients and industries. I am continually blown away by how addressing big challenges for one client leads to innovative solutions that can benefit many.”

As President, Midwest Region, Porter will relocate to Chicago and become the MD for Golin’s headquarters office. “I have loved my time in Dallas. In my 15 years in Golin’s Dallas office, we have more than doubled in size, positioned Dallas as the analytics hub for the agency and maximized social media and content marketing opportunities with the Bridge – adding dozens of top-tier clients to our roster,” said Porter. “The challenge of leading our HQ office while continuing to maintain leadership in Dallas is something I’ve dreamed about.”

“We believe these are the right next steps for Golin and making changes at the start of the year allows for smoother transitions,” said Rudnick. “The combined tenure of Patti, Ginger, Alex and Carrie at Golin is 60 years. They all have been – and will continue to be – crucial factors in our success.”
