June 10, 2021

McKeever tapped to lead transformative communications and foster growth across both Golin and Virgo Health brands

CHICAGO (June 10, 2021) – Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) agency Golin announced today the appointment of Cori McKeever to global president of healthcare to lead the agency’s growing practice along with its Virgo Health specialty brand. Based in Golin’s headquarters in Chicago, she officially joined the agency last month, reporting to Matt Neale, CEO.

Golin’s healthcare practice is experiencing historic double-digit growth. As global president, McKeever will be responsible for evolving the practice’s unique value for its clients, expanding offerings and further building its people-first culture. McKeever’s track record of creating integrated teams that bring expertise from different communications functions to effectively advance client goals will support her overall strategy and the performance of healthcare business within The Golin Group brands.

McKeever has worked across multiple healthcare industry segments and enterprise sizes, from blue-chip to startup biopharma, medical devices and professional associations. She brings deep expertise in multiple therapeutic areas, including oncology, immunology, cardiology, as well as diagnostics and corporate communications.

“Cori has a proven track record of orchestrating transformative programs around the world that drive business results,” said Neale. “Our industry’s need for effective healthcare communications has never been in higher demand, and Cori is a strategic, collaborative and passionate leader who will drive Golin’s healthcare practice forward and deliver maximum impact for our clients.”

Prior to joining Golin, McKeever led the integrated communications division at the American College of Surgeons (ACS). There, she oversaw all marketing, digital and brand activities, as well as the U.S. policy communications and public relations efforts. Previously, McKeever held a seven-year tenure at Weber Shandwick, another IPG DXTRA agency, where she managed the U.S. central region’s healthcare practice and one of the firm’s largest client accounts.

“We are living through one of the most critical periods of healthcare marketing and communications in decades, and I’m excited to build on the momentum with Golin’s uniquely talented team,” said McKeever. “I look forward to helping our clients achieve meaningful results through programs that are born from data-driven strategy, expressed creatively and executed flawlessly.”

In addition to leading Golin’s healthcare practice and Virgo Health efforts, McKeever will foster collaboration across IPG and IPG DXTRA brands and will be the agency’s lead contributor to the new DXTRA Health Integrated Solutions announced last month.
