Doyle tapped to lead digital healthcare innovation, strategy and content for Golin and Virgo Health brands across the agency’s largest region

CHICAGO (November 17, 2021) – Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) agency Golin announced today the appointment of Joe Doyle to executive vice president, U.S. digital healthcare, to champion innovation for Golin’s fastest-growing healthcare practice and its Virgo Health brand. In this newly created role, Doyle will focus on advanced communication technology and all-channel audience experiences for U.S. health clients. Based in Golin’s headquarters in Chicago, Doyle officially joined the agency last month and reports to Cori McKeever, global president of healthcare.

Doyle brings decades of agency, entrepreneurial and start-up experience connecting health brands with people in the moments that matter. As executive vice president of U.S. digital healthcare, he will create strategies steeped in data and analytics that guide innovative programs, paired with relevant audience experiences, across earned, paid and owned channels.

“Joe is an innovative leader with a proven track record of leveraging data and technology to help health and life sciences organizations meet their goals,” said McKeever. “Joe leads a growing team of digital health strategists who approach business challenges with forward-thinking solutions that push brands toward crucial evolution. His leadership will ensure that we’re leaning into the latest technology advances to create the best work of our lives.”

On the heels of Golin’s strongest business performance in its 65-year history, the agency continues to double down on speciality talent to maintain its momentum. Doyle will help Golin’s teams identify omnichannel solutions to best reach diverse audiences and address its clients’ challenges, including product development, medical education, experiential learning, disease awareness and branded strategies.

“The last 20 months have forever changed how pharmaceutical companies and brands communicate with their audiences,” said Doyle. “Enterprise-level data and immersive technology advancements open the door for engagement with the right people at the right time. That’s why I’m excited to add my skills to Golin and Virgo Health, where science and storytelling are of paramount importance when creating change that matters.”

Doyle is a recipient of the PharmaVoice Top 100 Most Influential People in Life-Sciences and is an advisor for SXSW Health and Med Tech. Prior to joining Golin, Doyle was senior vice president, digital experience and strategy at Pivot Design and Intouch Group where he created omnichannel strategies and end-to-end personalized user experiences for clients like Abbott, AbbVie, Teva and Takeda.

Before that, Doyle held various leadership roles during his six-year tenure at HCB Health, advising clients on physician detailing, user experience advancements, disease state awareness ecosystems and medical events. Some of Doyle’s more notable work includes omnichannel planning and system authoring for Terumo Blood and Cell Technologies and early iPad detailing systems for Alcon Surgical.
