Tim Peters named U.S. corporate lead, Midwest and West Regions; Sarah Vellozzi named U.S. corporate lead, East Region
CHICAGO (July 11, 2022) – Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) agency Golin announced today the promotions of Tim Peters to U.S. corporate lead, Midwest and West Regions, and Sarah Vellozzi to U.S. corporate lead, East Region. Peters and Vellozzi assumed their new duties on July 1 and will continue to work closely with Scott Farrell, the global president of corporate communications for the agency.
As Golin’s corporate practice continues to post strong growth, the agency has restructured its leadership team to better serve clients across its largest region and to further integrate corporate offerings across the U.S. Peters will oversee Golin’s Midwest and Western region corporate practice groups, including cross-practice integration with Golin U.S. Health practice. Vellozzi, based in New York, will oversee the corporate practice for Golin’s East Coast operations, along with other Golin Group agency brands, The Brooklyn Brothers and DeVries Global.
“Our entire corporate communications portfolio, including reputation management, employee engagement and crisis and issues management has never been more central to the success of our clients’ businesses,” said Farrell. “Our clients count on us to guide them through challenging situations, and Tim and Sarah have been exceptional counselors and leaders in this regard. Elevating them to regional leadership roles will enhance our ability to deliver best-in-class counsel and service to our clients and accelerate growth of the practice.”
Golin’s corporate offering has consistently been among the largest practice areas for the agency, accounting for 30% of its growing U.S. client portfolio. Peters’ and Vellozzi’s leadership in evolving the agency’s offerings to keep pace with changing client needs and market opportunities has been instrumental in this growth.
Peters joined Golin in 2017 as executive vice president of corporate and public affairs for Golin Chicago. The Chicago practice has experienced strong growth over the past nearly five years and recently added Genuine Parts Company, NAPA Auto Parts, NextEra Energy and Unisys to its portfolio.
“We have experienced new growth in specialty areas like new market entry and transaction work, while growing organically with many of our consumer and healthcare clients,” said Peters. “I’m excited to widen those boundaries even more to better serve our clients in a variety of markets and for those who have historically enlisted our support for other services. ”
Vellozzi joined Golin in 2016 and most recently held the role of executive vice president and head of corporate communications for Golin New York, which has experienced similarly strong growth under her leadership. She has led corporate reputation and executive visibility programs for some of the world’s largest brands including Capital Group, PepsiCo, Sephora, Canon and Converse, to name a few. While adding geographic and brand responsibilities, she will continue to oversee the New York practice.
“Golin’s consumer heritage makes us uniquely suited to support business leaders today, who are navigating a whole new world of public opinion,” said Vellozzi. “I look forward to advancing our sophisticated understanding of Corporate Influence – from executive visibility and thought leadership to B2B, employee and community engagement – to deliver high-impact programs for clients and support Golin’s mission to create change that matters.”
Adding to Golin’s growing corporate leadership bench, the agency also recently hired Joanna Krupa-Brown as executive vice president, head of the corporate practice for Golin Chicago. Krupa-Brown started in May after more than a decade at Zeno Group and will play a key leadership role on some of the office’s most significant corporate communications engagements.
