Brock to serve as Golin’s first health equity and inclusion leader, counseling clients on engaging diverse communities through impactful communications programs

CHICAGO (April 12, 2023) – Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) agency Golin announced today the appointment of Kimberly Brock, MPH, to executive vice president, health equity lead for Golin Health – the agency’s leading healthcare communications practice. Brock is charged with leading all health equity and inclusion efforts for the agency, including integration with Golin’s public health and social purpose and sustainability teams. Based in Golin’s Atlanta office, Brock reports to Cori McKeever, global president of healthcare.

Brock brings nearly 20 years of experience leading health communications and outreach programs that include designing and implementing strategic communications, community engagement, and establishing public-private partnerships to advance public health campaigns and initiatives.

In this newly-created role, Brock will provide strategic communication guidance to Golin’s clients, particularly with its health, public affairs, government affairs and social impact leaders, to demonstrate why and how health equity and inclusion can advance not only communications objectives but also our clients’ business goals.

“Health equity and the role of social determinants of health in communications is of utmost importance, particularly given the major impact these have on people’s health, well-being, and quality of life,” said McKeever. “Most, if not all, health challenges also have aspects of health equity that should be proactively addressed, and Kim’s extensive experience will help our clients navigate this nuanced communications environment.”

In her most recent role, Brock led multicultural communications, outreach and partner engagement for the Health and Human Services Federal COVID-19 Response – Combat COVID initiative to drive awareness and engagement among underserved communities about COVID-19 therapies, including helping to improve disparities and increase equity in clinical trials.

“I have focused my work on establishing key partnerships that target underserved communities and leading community engagement efforts, for the purpose of improving health outcomes and facilitating sustainable behavior change,” said Brock. “I am thrilled to join Golin Health, and I look forward to partnering with the Golin teams and our clients to help us do the best work of our lives.”
