CHICAGO (February 6, 2025) – Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG) agency Golin announced today the promotion of Molly Starmann to managing director of its global headquarters (HQ) office in Chicago. This appointment is a testament to Starmann’s measurable impact, and it demonstrates the agency’s commitment to realizing its two key tenets of exceptional culture and work. The new role was effective starting February 1, and she’ll continue to report to Cori McKeever, co-president, North America.

In her expanded role, Starmann will oversee all operations of the Chicago office, focusing on driving business growth, fostering innovation and impact for clients and nurturing Golin’s specialty talent pool. The HQ office is home to more than 250 communications experts who service regional and global portfolio partners like Grubhub, McDonald’s, Walmart and more.

“Molly’s promotion reflects her outstanding contributions and the transformative impact she has had on our Chicago office,” said McKeever. “Her unique perspective, having worked on both the agency and client sides, gives her a deep understanding of our clients’ needs. Combined with her ability to inspire and lead teams, she is the ideal person to steer our global headquarters into its next chapter of success as we continue our mission to create change that matters.”

Starmann joined Golin in 2019 and quickly rose through the ranks, most recently serving as associate managing director of the Chicago office. During her tenure, she has been instrumental in driving excellence for key accounts, including Golin’s longest-standing client, McDonald’s.

The announcement of Starmann’s promotion comes as Golin’s HQ completed its long-awaited move to the iconic Merchandise Mart this past fall, a transition that she oversaw. The new space represents its dedication to building a collaborative and dynamic workspace that inspires creativity, collaboration and innovation.

“I’m honored and energized to take on this new challenge, working alongside the best in our business,” said Starmann. “Our talented team has consistently delivered groundbreaking, award-winning work for our clients, and I’m eager to build upon this strong foundation. Chicago is where many of Golin’s cutting-edge solutions are incubated and piloted before being scaled globally. I’m committed to upholding that legacy of excellence and driving continued innovation for our clients.”

Prior to joining Golin, Starmann spent nearly 13 years at McDonald’s in various PR, marketing, and strategic innovation roles, culminating in her position as brand reputation leader for corporate communications.
