Overview:

The Senior Manager, Social plays a crucial role in nurturing client relationships, ensuring the smooth execution of campaigns, and driving growth for both existing and prospective clients.

Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong client relationships
    • Act as the senior point of contact for multiple clients simultaneously
    • Keep clients informed of campaign/project progress, address any issues, and communicate developments that may impact future projects
  2. Campaign Oversight:
    • Provide strategic consultation on campaign design and delivery across multiple different social media platforms/channels
    • Handle client projects/campaigns and ensure their successful execution
    • Supervise account managers and executives to manage strategies and negotiate client contracts
    • Plan projects to meet client needs and coordinate various teams to achieve client goals
    • Guide community managers, paid social specialists, designers and copywriters
    • Direct project/campaign budgets
  3. Strategic Duties:
    • Support the Head of Integrated Media on strategic plan development for clients and new business pitches
    • Look for new business opportunities and contribute to organisational growth
    • Report on quotas and account progress to senior management and stakeholders
  4. Platform Proficiency:
    • Have a strong strategic and tactical understanding of all key social media platforms
    • Clear understanding of the nuances of each platform and how to best leverage
    • Have a strong working knowledge of how to best use organic and paid social together to help reach KPIs and deliver agreed outcomes
    • Have a good technical understanding of how each different social media platform works
  5. Financial Management:
    • Ensure campaigns run within agreed client budgets
    • Obtain client approval for all expenditures, especially unexpected ones
    • Complete billing on time
  6. Team Management:
    • Manage a team effectively to achieve results at all levels

Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of social media, social-first, and digital platforms
  • Experience in account management within a digital, social or PR agency environment
  • Familiarity with large global clients 
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Organisational and time management abilities
  • Analytical and creative thinking
