WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Senior Account Manager is responsible for all aspects of a client relationship and account team. He/she must supervise multiple projects and team members. Other responsibilities include recommending programs and activities coordinating with client’s goals, effectively delegating projects, offering counsel to team members and allocating agency resources to match client budgets. He/she is also more engaged with business development, strategic program planning and the development of creative concepts.
Responsibilities
Client
- Serve as senior contact for clients (mid-to-senior level) and earn their confidence
- Develop and maintain strong interpersonal relationships with senior clients
- Keep client programs on schedule, develop quality standards, and ensure all deadliness are met and client’s satisfaction
- Structure long term plans and program recommendations for clients
- Proactively handle client problems quickly and adeptly and provide strategic counsel
- Responsible for client relations, review meetings, and client budget approval and management
- Contribute to and promote business development by counseling clients
- Develop and deliver client presentations
Media
- Develop media relations strategies and deliver results
- Drive the development of appropriate public relations strategies and programs
- Know the industry’s issues that directly and indirectly affect the client
- Demonstrate a well-developed knowledge of relevant client media in the consumer/F&B industries and vertical markets
- Generate ideas for media outreach and pitch efforts
- Direct and supervise special events (eg: satellite media tours, desk side briefings, editor events, etc.)
Writing
- Work with administration and staff to generate letters of agreement, contracts and strategic project plans for current and new clients
- Accountable for quality control and final review of all letters, memos, meeting reports, and client materials
- Instruct staff in the area of writing and editing
- Oversee development of releases, customer profiles, bylined articles, and other press materials
Team Management
- Act as key contact for internal account staff to address issues
- Train and motivate team members
- Conduct performance reviews
- Create opportunities for team members to enhance growth with agency
- Strategically evaluate employee strengths and assign team accordingly
- Make recommendations regarding salary increases, promotions, etc.
- Track team results against client’s goals
- Attend account reviews and staff meetings – provide ongoing communications and feedback
- Ensure account team members adhere to agency time reporting and financial guidelines
- Involved in staffing of team, including reviewing resumes and interviewing candidates
Administrative Support
- Create accurate budget estimates for client for long term and short term programs
- Monitor group budgeting and revisions in a timely manner
- Track/enter time in a precise and timely manner
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
New Business Development
- Assist in the development of new business initiatives
- Participate in new business pitch development and presentations
What you’ll bring
Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Professional Experience
6+ years related professional experience in F&B or Consumer Corporate PR experience preferred
