Who You Are
- A graduate of an accredited Canadian university or college
- Complementary training in related field (i.e. graphic design)
- Graphic design capabilities (Canva, Photoshop) with the ability to create social content and design Power Point presentations, create and design materials such as invites, posters, etc.
- You’re a digital native – you live and breathe social media and operate at the speed of culture
- Trendspotting and the ability to compile recent trends into opportunities for specific brands, knowing which trends make the best fit for each brand.
- Experience in community management with an understanding of how to adjust tone of voice and approach to different brand audiences
- Must be able to manage multiple competing tasks and manage priorities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to proof-read your work, as well as others
- Collaborative, positive and outgoing interpersonal skills with the ability to work with people in our office, and our clients, to create engaging on-trend content, attend events to capture BTS footage, photography, not afraid to bring new and exciting ideas to the table, etc.
- Ability to multitask, work independently with a high degree of accuracy
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proficient at learning new software and technology
- Understanding and familiarization with social media platforms brand content creation and influencer partnership/content creation best practices– particularly Tik Tok, IG and FB but asset would be knowledge of Pinterest, Snapchat, X, LinkedIn
- A self-starter and proactive. Spotting opportunities to go above and beyond, spotting opportunities to improve.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and you are passionate about delivering results

What You’ll Do
- Community management for multiple brands, engaging with consumers, responding to questions and flagging more serious concerns (when applicable) to the wider agency team for quick action.
- Content creation – development of unique brand content leveraging trends, adapting existing content for a Canadian audience
- Copy writing – developing effective, engaging and brand appropriate captions for all content.
- Performance management – pulling data and insights for the digital team
- Paid amplification – supporting the paid specialist on boosting posts
- UGC – Vetting UGC content, flagging to the team and determining which posts to leverage for brand social
- Sourcing and vetting influencers. Providing a summary of what that influencer is a fit for the brand and program
- Influencer content review
- Sourcing industry trends to share with the wider agency and brand teams
- Influencer/Media mailer support. Identifying opportunities and fulfilling shipments.
- Program and campaign reporting –including pulling social analytics and stats, media impressions and MRP reports and compiling in monthly, quarterly and yearly reports of all kinds. Using this information to develop insights and action items.
- Research – researching and compiling briefing documents on various subjects
- Event support (virtual/ hybrid/ in-person)
- Drafting materials, writing
- How do you keep up with the latest trends and cultural news? What does your news feed currently look like?
- What are 2-3 examples that have recently caught your eye of brands leveraging trends in their social content? Why did those examples resonate with you?
- If you had to develop the same content but optimize it for each TikTok and IG, how would you change each?
- How do you decide what trends are best for each brand (not everything is a fit for everyone)
- How do you determine an influencer is the right fit for a campaign.
Golin has included the base salary range or hourly rate for this role. Actual compensation offered within the range will depend upon, among other factors: a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience; actual ranges for current or former employees in the role; and market considerations.
Hourly Rate
$20 per hour
