Challenge: Cisco Live is the premiere industry event for education, insights and training for technology redefining our future. Bringing together hundreds of thousands of partners, influencers and customers both in-person and virtually, Cisco and Golin teamed to capitalize on the tremendous success of 2013 by again seizing real-time opportunities with key stakeholders during the show.
Creative: For the second year in a row, the Golin team built and operated a dedicated Bridge at the event, the Cisco Live Social Media Hub, staffed with social media engagement experts, graphic designers, analytics and insights specialists and logistics personnel to engage with Cisco Live in-person and online attendees through social channels. Real-time data that captured trends guided the development of engaging content and socially shared graphics.
Change: Overall, Cisco Live generated 291,803,990 impressions. On average, the number of impressions generated per day totaled nearly 59 million. The 55,633 conversations were roughly a 16% increase year-over-year in total conversation volume. Comparing the use of #CLUS last year vs. this year: #CLUS was used 35,500 times in 2013 and 47,365 times in 2014; an increase of over 33% year-over-year. Two Cisco executives Trended NATIONALLY on Twitter during their keynote with the high volume of social engagement; all organic – no paid.
